Michigan Science Center

The Michigan Science Center, affectionately known as Mi-Sci, is a dynamic STEAM engagement hub where discovery, learning, and interactive participation come together. As a proud Smithsonian Affiliate, Mi-Sci is part of a national network of museums and cultural institutions that share resources from the Smithsonian Institution.

The museum features twelve interactive galleries exploring topics from outer space and human health to weather, motion, and the built environment. At the heart of Mi-Sci is a spirit of discovery, with more than 200 hands-on exhibits that invite visitors to experiment, explore, and learn through play. Younger learners can dive into Kids Town, an early childhood gallery designed for children five and under that blends science concepts with imaginative, hands-on experiences.

Beyond the galleries, visitors can experience live science demonstrations, a state-of-the-art planetarium, an Immersive Dome Theater, and a 4D theater, creating a fully immersive day of exploration for visitors of all ages. The museum also hosts interactive events throughout the year and brings engaging science programming to communities across Michigan.
